We have recently carried out an installation working with Knowsley SK, a fire prevention specialist based in Trafford Park who create fire protection solutions for some of the biggest names in the oil and gas industry. The project entailed the construction of 4 large foam deluge skids for export to China, whereupon they have been installed in a large Floating Production Storage and Offloading platform (FPSO) which was commissioned by Shell. The FPSO will eventually be used in the rejuvenation of the Penguin Oil Field in the North Sea.

This work involved installing solenoid valves, lighting, specialist instrumentation, heating and data for use in some of the most hostile and dangerous environments. All the works were carried out by our dedicated team of highly qualified and skilled engineers to the highest technical standard required by ATEX and BS60079.

These works were carried out during the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic and due to the nature of the build the deadlines were not negotiable as the progress of the whole platform build could not be interrupted. Alongside the great team at Knowsley SK we delivered each skid on time and to specification despite the many challenges the pandemic threw at us.
